Lidstrom In
Flames October 12, 2001
by Ramsey Pretty Niklas
Lidstrom looks to be on the move these days. After
a smooth and big trade, the Calgary Flames picked
off the big "D" with the Detroit Red
Wings. Now after about a week of playing with his
new team, the Calgary organization is putting
Lidstrom on the block to see what they can
improve. In the most recent press conference, Kory
Sykes told press that he is looking for defence
and wing for Lidstrom. The actions of Kory are
questionable, but who knows.
Ice Age With the
absents of key players like Ray Bourque
(retirement) and Olaf Kolzig (free agency), a
championship repeat looks highly unlikely.
Los Angeles Kings center,
Jason Blake, appears to planning a comeback to the
LA pro team. Blake has registered 17 goals and 11
assists, in 28 games for the LA farm team,
Manitoba Moose.
All Star Committee
will hold a vote to where the All Star Game should
take place real soon.
After being traded from Philly,
Jaromir Jagr has registered 5 points in 3 games.
If he keeps this up he will become a great help
for the Panthers. Jagr already had 9 goals and 16
assists with Philly, now adding 1 goal and 4
assists, to make a total of 10 goals and 20
assists for a total of 30 points in 26 games.
Hopefully, Jagr will keep the pace and be the most
feared player in the CHL.
It's that time
of year again. The annual World Tournament will be
held in Salt Lake City. In the mean time check out
